Limited Numbers:
This event is limited to 1,000 competitors on the trail at any one time, this is due to our Department of Conservation (DOC) Concession for the event and we encourage you to get your entries in quickly to avoid disappointment.
Entry fee includes the run, nutrition throughout the run, t-shirt, Finishers medal and Sunday breakfast at participating Cafés and Hotels in Hokitika before prize giving.
Bus to Start
If you require a bus ticket to the start you can purchase this for $25.00
Private vehicles for the start of the 54km is very limited due to parking in the surrounding area given the darkness and location. We recommend all participants do take the bus.
Bus tickets can be purchased online when entering, if your partner wants to see you start then they will have to make their own way to the start as the bus is only available for competitors.
Age restrictions
All competitors in the 54km and 100km events are to be 18 years or older.
Refund/Transfers
For this event the following Policy applies for withdrawals and refunds by a competitor:
Up until to 31 December 2020 you will receive a refund of 60% of your entry fee
1 January to 31 January 2021 you will receive a refund of 50% of your entry fee
1 February to 28 February 2021 you will receive a refund of 40% of your entry fee
1 March to 31 March 2021 you will receive a refund of 30% of your entry fee
1 April 2021 onward No refund
There will be no transfers to next year’s event;
There will be no transfer to another competitor;
Competitors transferred from the 2020 cancelled event, the above Policy for withdrawals does not apply.
You will be able to transfer to a shorter distance up to 31 March 2021 with a $20 Administration Fee. There will be no partial refunds provided for the shorter distance.
No Merchandise will be refunded, including bus tickets and cancellation insurance.
Please do not ask after 1 April 2021 for refunds or transfers, as the above Policy will be adhered too and it is always tough saying no to these requests.
Cancellation of Events:
Should the event have to be cancelled due to Force Majure, Disease or Pandemic, there will be no refund of entry fees. Whether this is before or after any of the Refund or Transfer dates.
Competitors do have the option of purchasing a CJM’S Cancellation Insurance when entering the event.
CJM’S Cancellation Insurance will refund your entry fee in case of cancellation of the event by CJM'S Events Ltd.. This will cover the cancellation of the event for any reason including Force Majure, Disease or Pandemic.
When entering if you wish to purchase CJM’S Cancellation Insurance, you do so in the merchandise section. If the event was to be cancelled, the amount of your entry fee is the amount that would be refunded.
No Bus tickets or merchandise will be refunded.
